Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Attleboro Area Industrial Museum, Inc. (AAIM) to collect and preserve the artifacts, photographs, documents, publications, tools, and machinery that relate to the industrial history of the Attleboro area; to make these materials readily available for both research and enjoyment; and to act as a resource center for the education of the public about the industrial history of the Attleboro area, so that knowledge of the past may contribute to a fuller understanding of the present and inspiration for the future.

History-to-Go is a program on the history of the Attleboro area with an emphasis on local industrial history. The program covers the role of Native Americans, the settlement era, the colonial era, the revolutionary era, the industrial revolution, and Attleboro’s era as a major center of jewelry production.
To enhance the learning experience children are allowed to touch many artifacts, hear a 19th century burglar alarm and see an operating model of a steam engine! Read More

The Fire Queen is a beautifully made 24 man pumping wagon purchased by the Attleboro volunteer fire Department in the 1850s.
